Center for Minority Veterans (CMV)

The Center for Minority Veterans is part of the Office of the Secretary.  The Center assists eligible Veterans in their efforts to receive benefits and services from VA.  The Center acts only as a mediator and facilitator — As such the Center does not process claims, handle equal employment complaints, or employee relation problems.  The Center is dedicated to ensuring that all Veterans are aware of benefits, services, and programs offered by VA.

Heritage and History Month

The Center for Minority Veterans, and the VHA Office of Health Equity would like to announce that April is Minority Health Month.  During April, we are requesting that VHA facilities highlight actions that are being taken to eliminate health disparities, and VA’s role in this initiative.  The 2015 Theme for Minority Health Month is, “30 Years of Advancing Health Equity | The Heckler Report:  A Force for Ending Health Disparities in America.”  The VA remains committed to highlighting prevention strategies and actions leading to health equity as outlined by the Heckler Report.
