New Research Study
Mary Vaughan Sarrazin, PhD, and Joseph Cullen, MD, Chief Surgical Service at the Iowa City VAMC have been awarded a grant to study VA surgical complication costs. The new study will investigate variations in costs across individual hospitals, and between different types of surgical procedures. In addition, they will calculate the reduction in costs within the VHA nationally that is associated with specific levels of system-wide reductions in surgical complication rates. |
