Advanced Clinic Access
Open Access scheduling
means you can get an appointment without a long delay. The goal
is for you to be able to see your primary care provider within
one to two business days and for you to have faster access to
specialty care.
Advanced Clinic Access is a process designed to eliminate long waits for scheduling
appointments. In many clinics, Advanced Clinic Access provides appointments earlier
than usual. The goal is to provide same day appointments, or open access, for
an appointment date or time that works best for you.
Choose clinic service lines from the list (right) for phone numbers to call to make and cancel appointments.
Four Easy Steps to Open Access Scheduling
- During your appointment, your provider will discuss a date for a follow-up
visit.
- Before you leave the clinic, stop by the checkout desk to get your instructions
from the Medical Support Assistant (MSA).
- Tell the MSA if you need a reminder or "time to call" letter
for your next appointment. A few weeks before your appointment, you will
receive a letter that says "Time to call _____ clinic." This is
not an actual appointment, but a reminder to call us to schedule an appointment.
- Call your clinic when it is time to make your appointment or you receive
a reminder letter.
