The
Minneapolis VA Medical Center hosts one of the largest research
programs throughout the VA Health care system. We have 163 scientists
and investigators (96 funded) conducting 640 research projects
in areas such as:

and Clinical Research, Hepatitis C Center of Excellence, Defense
and Veterans Brain Injury Center, and the Polytrauma and Blast-Related
Injuries QUERI Center.
Because of our strong academic mission, many physicians at the Minneapolis VA
Medical Center are nationally known for their expertise in treating diseases
that affect veterans. This contributes to the quality of care and brings significant
resources to the medical center.
