Nurses are multi-talented individuals with unique skills, many that are transferable into other areas of healthcare. It was hard to disguise their many talents during National Nurses Week.
National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6, also known as National Nurses Day, through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.

 Welcome to the Atlanta VA Medical Center ! The Atlanta VA Medical Center (VAMC) is one of eight medical centers in the VA Southeast Network. Atlanta VAMC is located on 26 acres east of Atlanta in Decatur, Georgia with an operating nursing home care unit. In addition, the Atlanta VAMC also operates the Decatur, East Point, Lawrenceville, NE GA/Oakwood, Smyrna, Rome, and Stockbridge community-based outpatient clinics (CBOCs).
The co-location of the VA Regional Office, to include the National Cemetery Administration, has resulted in a strong One-VA collaboration on such important issues as Freedom of Information Act requests for medical records, shared services, training and access to the facilities. There are two cemeteries affiliated with Atlanta VA Medical Center and they are located in Canton, Georgia and Marietta, Georgia.
