Dr. Carter is a Senior Scientist with CRIISP and a Professor of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy at the University of Iowa, with expertise in synthesizing evidence-based clinical guidelines and developing physician-pharmacist collaborative models for improving drug treatment. Dr. Carter served on the Joint National Committee on Prevention, Detection, Evaluation, and Treatment of High Blood Pressure. In addition to his research, Dr. Carter collaborates with CRIISP investigators on studies to improve drug treatment and provides advice to CRIISP investigators on approaches for assessing the validity and reliability of guidelines and designing interdisciplinary intervention teams.
