Dr. Vaughn a Senior Scientist with CRIISP and an Associate Professor of Health Management and Policy at the University of Iowa. Dr. Vaughn brings expertise in measurement of organizational structure and function and the influence of such factors on patient outcomes. He has played major roles on several Veterans Affairs Health Service Research & Development and QUERI studies discerning the impact of organizational parameters on the successful adoption of practice guidelines. In addition to his research, Dr. Vaughn collaborates on CRIISP research focused on overcoming organizational impediments to translation and is assembling a core set of organizational measures for use by CRIISP Investigators.
