Dr. Wolinsky is the Associate Director of CRIISP. In addition he is the John W. Colloton Chair and Professor of Health Management and Policy, College of Public Health, and the designated Director of the Center for Health Policy and Research at the University of Iowa. Dr. Wolinsky is an accomplished methodologist who began his career as a Veterans Affairs Investigator. His work has centered on the longitudinal assessment of health and health behaviors of older adults and the clinical, social, and behavioral significance of changes in health related quality of life measures. Dr. Wolinsky has received a number of honors, including the National Institute of Health MERIT Award, the Distinguished Scholar Award from the American Sociological Association's Section on Aging and Life Course, the designation by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) as one of the 250 most highly cited social scientists in the world, and the St. Martin de Porres Teacher of the Year Award from the Saint Louis University School of Public Health.
