Dr. Titler is the Director of CRIISP's Institute for Translational Practice and is an Associate Professor of Nursing at the University of Iowa. Dr. Titler is nationally recognized in evidence-based practice, translational research, and organization of acute care services. She has been PI on several AHRQ translational studies, is a consultant to national research programs and health care organizations, and is a member of the AHRQ National Advisory Council. Dr. Titler has directed the highly successful Translation Core of the NIH-funded P-50 Gerontological Nursing Interventions Research Center. In addition to her research, she plays a lead role in providing consultation to investigators in developing conceptual frameworks and innovative strategies for implementing evidence, organizes the bi-annual conference on Advances in Translational Research, and works with the Directors and Senior Scientists in developing an intensive 3-day summer course to review conceptual models of implementation research and strategies to implement evidence.
