The Hartford Regional Office is conveniently co-located with the VA Medical Center in Newington, CT. The Secretary of Veterans Affairs approved a minor construction project for Fiscal Year 2003 to redesign 43,000 square feet of existing space on three floors of Building 2E at the Newington Campus. This project was completed in the fall of 2004 and resulted in a state of the art facility with the latest in information technology. The Hartford Regional Office now provides one-stop service to veterans and their families seeking assistance in compensation, pension, and vocational rehabilitation and employment in an accessible campus environment.
The Hartford Regional Office serves 260,388 veterans and their dependents living in the State of Connecticut. We have a staff of 66 employees and rank 48th in staffing strength as compared to all other regional offices.
