Steven P. Kleinglass
Steven P. Kleinglass was appointed
Medical Center Director in January 2002. Prior to his appointment
as Director he served as Acting Director from January 1999 after
the previous Director retired. Mr. Kleinglass was appointed
the Assistant Director of the Minneapolis VAMC in June 1988,
and subsequently promoted to Associate Director. Mr. Kleinglass
served in the U.S. Army as a 1st Lieutenant in charge of a combat
engineering platoon in the Republic of Vietnam. He received
the Bronze Star and several other commendations. He is currently
the Chair of the Federal Executive Board of Minnesota and the
Chairperson of the Patient Safety Committee of the Minnesota
Hospital Association. Mr. Kleinglass has a Bachelor of Science
degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters degree in Business
Administration.
Marci Mylan
Marci Mylan was appointed Assistant Director in August 2007.
In addition to her administrative duties, Dr. Mylan is a licensed Psychologist who formerly served as Coordinator of the Mood Disorders Team and the Psychology Supervisor for the Mental Health Section of the Psychology Department at the Medical Center.
She continues to function as a clinical psychologist providing clinical care and teaching in the internship and fellowship programs.
Dr. Mylan received her Ph.D. from Northern Illinois University and her MPH from Baylor University. She interned at the San Francisco VA Medical Center and completed a post-doctoral fellowship University of California at Berkeley. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University
of Minnesota.
John J. Drucker
John J. Drucker,
M.D., was appointed as Chief of Staff in December
1998. Prior to his appointment,
Dr. Drucker was the ACOS for
Ambulatory Care from 1996-1998.
Dr. Drucker directs the clinical
activities of the Medical Center,
maintains the teaching affiliations,
and guides the medical research
programs. Dr. Drucker graduated
from Holy Cross College, Worcester,
MA in 1969 and from St. Louis
University School of Medicine,
St. Louis, Missouri in 1973.
He is board certified in Psychiatry
and Medical Management. Dr. Drucker
was elected to Fellowship in
the American Psychiatric Association.
He completed the VHA Clinical
Leadership Institute and serves
as a consultant on VHA ’s
VA Care Management Consultation
Team. He is an Assistant Professor
of Psychiatry at the University
of Minnesota.
Christine Lund
Christine Lund
received her Baccalaureate Degree in nursing from the University
of Wisconsin, Madison and her
Master ’s Degree in Gerontological
Nursing from the University of
South Florida, Tampa. She began
her VA career in Tampa, where
she worked for 18 years, progressing
from staff nurse to managerial
positions. Ms. Lund was then
accepted in the associate chief
nursing service (ACNS) training
program and received this training
at the Houston VA. She attained
a position as ACNS, then Director,
Nursing Operations, at the Loma
Linda VA, where she worked for
nine years prior to her transfer
to Minneapolis. Her background
includes experience in Medical,
Surgical, Intensive Care, and
Long Term Care Nursing.
Ms. Lund is a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society of Nursing, American
Organization of Nurse Executives, Minnesota Organization of Leaders in Nursing,
American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN), and the National Organization
of VA Nurses. She is the author of several publications and has been active in
nursing research and education.
