24 consecutive months
What are the daily hours?
Monday through Friday 07:30-16:00 (7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.) Clinical hours may vary slightly due to diadatic schedule.
Is all the training completed at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center?
No. Twenty-two months are completed at this facility. There is a one month rotation at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), hours 15:00-23:30 (3:00 p.m.-11:30 p.m.) There is also a one month rotation at Minneapolis Children’s Hospital, hours 07:30-15:30. There are two week rotations through the following areas: ultrasound, computerized tomography, MRI, radiation oncology, nuclear medicine, interventional and cardiac catherization.
What are the program costs?
The cost of the program covers books, uniforms, shoes and professional organizations.
There is no tuition.
As a requirement of the School, students work as student employees in the Department approximately five hours per week while in training. Pay rates range from $14.50 - $16.00 per hour.
What type of degree do I get?
The program awards a Certificate.
Is the program academically accredited?

What are my career prospects?

The majority of students in the program have leads or a job before graduation. In the most recent five-year period for which we have data (2001-06), 100 percent of the students have located employment.
