The feedback received from the outreach activities provides VA with data to develop Action Plans to:

  • Improve acquisition processes and procedures;
  • Improve communication and customer service with suppliers and internal customers; and,
  • Tailor training to better meet the needs of VA contracting staff, internal customers and the supplier community.

Going forward, VA will continue outreach and measurement activities such as the Internal Customer Satisfaction Survey, Supplier Perception Survey and Regional Forums, as well as implement a social media outreach program to measure progress made against the stated goals in the VA Action Plans.

  • VA Supplier Perception Survey (SPS) — 2nd Quarter FY 2014
    Deliver VA SPS to 15,000 companies and assess results to improve our partnership and improve VA acquisition programs
  • Internal VA Customer Satisfaction Survey — 2nd Quarter FY 2014
    Deliver survey to 15,000 internal VA customers, assess results and make changes to acquisition process as appropriate
  • Additional industry outreach throughout FY 2014 as appropriate for gaining input from industry on significant acquisition efforts and development of procurement packages may include:
    • Advanced Program Briefings to Industry (APBI)
    • Pre-proposal conferences
    • Draft Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
