Looking for a career and not just a job?
...Join Us at VA Puget Sound Health Care System. With two campuses (Tacoma and Seattle), we provide primary and specialty health care to men and women veterans in the Puget Sound Region, and by referral from other VA facilities in the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 20) serving Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Idaho. Over one million veterans reside within the boundaries of VISN 20 and more than 670,000 veterans live in Washington State.
Referrals from other VA medical centers come to our nationally recognized spinal cord injury center of excellence; our rehabilitation program, prosthetics and limb loss prevention program; our mental illness research, education and clinical center; as well as our geriatric research, education and clinical center; our nationally recognized substance abuse treatment and education, and our highly regarded health services research and development program.
As an employer, VA Puget Sound HCS fosters Excellence, Courtesy, Respect, Caring, Integrity, Commitment and Teamwork. Our commitment to these values was recognized with the presentation of the National Kenneth Kizer Quality Grant Award and Superior Customer Service Award - 2000 and 2001. VA Puget Sound was the first and only multi-division health care system to achieve this distinction.
We provide exceptional benefits, a creative work environment, and opportunities for career development, recognition and advancement. We provide equal opportunity in employment of all qualified persons and strive to have a workplace that is free from discrimination in employment because of race, religion, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability. It is the policy of the VA PSHCS to have the workplace free of sexual harassment, a form of sex discrimination.
