Overview:
The West Roxbury campus of The VA Boston Healthcare System has a nationally recognized Spinal Cord Injury/Disorder Program, which currently operates under Inpatient CARF Accreditation. The Program has been one of the premier, pioneering centers in the field of Spinal Cord Medicine, with over fifty years of experience and continuous service. The Program is staffed with dedicated professionals and operates with the philosophy of interdisciplinary respect and cooperation in order to provide a continuum of care from the time of injury/onset throughout the life of the individual. The Program conducts active academic training for Medical Residents and Fellows, Nursing Students, Psychology Interns and Fellows, Social Work Students, and Students in the fields of Nutrition, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech and Language Pathology. The Medical Staff and Psychology Staff maintain academic affiliation with Harvard Medical School and Boston University School of Medicine. The West Roxbury campus program serves to coordinate consistent care of services, as the hub within the "Hub and Spokes" model of care for the region.

DIRECTIONS:
From I-95 / RT 128 heading North or South:
Take Exit #16A, which will place you directly onto RT 109 East. Stay on RT 109 East for approximately 2.5 miles, to the 4th set of traffic lights--this will be a large intersection (Routes 109 and 1 - VFW Parkway). Take a left at the intersection and you'll see a large sign for the VA Medical Center on your right. The Spinal Cord Injury Service is located in Building 2, A-2 Unit, second floor.
