  BIOSKETCH
Dr. Arlene Schmid is an acting Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy and is a post-doctoral fellow at the VA. Prior to this position she was at the University of Florida working as a research assistant and completing her PhD. She has five years of clinical experience in varying populations. She is responsible for teaching the Introduction to Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science class, pieces of the Occupations of Adolescents and Young Adults and Occupations of Adults and Older Adults. Schmid received her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Florida, and a dual BS/MS in Occupational Therapy from D'Youville College in Buffalo, NY. Dr. Schmid's scholarly work includes numerous local, national, and international presentations. She also has manuscripts in preparation. She is a member of state and national associations.
