As Honorary Chairperson of VA National Rehabilitation Special Events, Bo Derek brings national recognition to VA’s special event programs, helping our nation’s veterans overcome life’s challenges through sports, competition, artistic talent, and camaraderie. Once again, Bo will be visiting the Winter Sports Clinic during the week of the 2005 event.
Grammy award-winning singers Vince Gill and Amy Grant will perform a private concert at the Winter Sports Clinic on April 7, courtesy of Challenge Aspen, a local organization for people with disabilities.
Up-and-coming country music sensation Ty Nelson will perform for the veterans during the Opening Ceremony on April 3, and again on April 4. Nelson wanted to attend so he could “give something back” to America’s disabled veterans.
Former Notre Dame football player whose life was immortalized in the 1993 movie, “Rudy,” is coming to the Opening Ceremony to deliver inspirational remarks to the veteran participants.
