Program Mission

The staff of the Nuclear Medicine Service at the Miami VA Medical Center is dedicated to providing our veteran and active duty military personnel with the highest quality most cost effective healthcare services available.

Services Provided

Presently all nuclear medicine imaging, including radiopharmaceutical therapy, and diagnostic abdominal ultrasound imaging, is offered at the Miami VA Medical Center. Shortly, when it opens, we will be providing PET/CT Imaging (Positron Emission/Computerized Axial Tomography) at the new Broward Clinic.

Hours of Operation

The Nuclear Medicine Service is physically located on the 2nd floor of the Miami VA Medical Center, directly across from the VA Canteen. Unscheduled and Scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed during the business hours of 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. After-hours emergency coverage is provided seven days per week.
