The Miami VA Care Line is staffed by Registered Nurses who will answer medical questions that you may have. Many times your health care needs can be taken care of over the phone, or directed to your primary health care provider. At other times, we may be able to save you a trip to the medical center by providing telephone assistance.
What the VA Care Line Can Do
- Nurses will give you medical advice.
- Instruct you on what to do if you have a reaction to a medication or food.
- Advise you on urgent care needs.
- Act as a liaison between you and your primary care provider.
- Help you and your family members with concerns about your health.
- Transfer calls.
- Connect you with your provider or give out telephone extensions.
