Sample Menus

Meal planning is one of the most important parts of losing weight. A meal plan tells you how many carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals you need. It can also tell you how many servings from each food group you should eat for meals and snacks. Your meal plan should be based on your food preferences, usual schedule and lifestyle.

Most people agree that the meal planning is the most difficult part of managing weight control. That’s understandable. It is a hard work to eat certain foods in measured amounts and at regular times, every day, and 365 days a year. To learn about and succeed with meal planning, you will need to work with a registered dietitian. Together you can find the best way to plan meals and snacks. Your dietitian can help you make small changes in your eating habits that will help you reach your long term goal.
