Compliance, Quality Assurance and Improvement Program
The Compliance, Quality assurance and Improvement Program is independent of the Stratton VA Medical
Center Research and Development Program, the Institutional Review Board and all subcommittees. The
focus of the Compliance Program is the ongoing monitoring of studies, evaluation of processes and
the education of investigators to ensure regulatory and ethical conduct of research.
Goal: To assure high quality research that ensures the protection of the rights and well-being of
research participants, the protection of animal subjects in research studies and the quality and
integrity of research through education and facilitation.
