A New Career Through Volunteering

Shape Your Life, Shape the World
An experience you don’t want to miss!
The VA Healthcare Network Upstate New York’s Veterans Affairs Volunteer Service (VAVS) is very interested in employing you in a new role.

A role we think may be perfect for you. A role that you might find not only rewarding and fulfilling but a role that could help you transition into that future second career you may be considering. A new role as a volunteer can do that for you.

As a former VA Medical Center employee we value the expertise you have developed throughout your career. We can still use your skills and talents if you would consider becoming a volunteer.

We would like to make you an offer. An offer that would make you seriously consider taking on a volunteer position with us. This offer would include the opportunity for you to choose the role that would either make you comfortable with the expertise you already have or a new role - one you want to learn more about and would allow you to develop new skills for your future.

Continue to Make a Difference
Our VAVS representatives are ready to talk to you about volunteering. They can assist you in choosing a volunteer role that is just right for you. You can even select the days and the times you want to volunteer.

Your time as a volunteer is needed now more than ever before. As VA Healthcare Network continues to expand access and treat more veterans in upstate New York volunteers play an integral role in helping VAVS fill important volunteer positions that help support new and expanded health care programs for veterans.
