The $18,000,000 - 1,000 bed Hospital was opened by the Veterans Administration
on January 15, 1950. The Hospital covers approximately 16 1/2 acres. Every
room has outside light and ventilation. The interior is finished in pastel
colors. On a clear day, Niagara Falls, 25 miles distant, can be viewed from
the observation roof.

Located on Bailey Avenue, this 14 story building was opened in January
1950 at a cost of about 17 million dollars. The hospital has a capacity
of 911 beds. |
